candle care
What is candle care?
Candle care is very important if you want to achieve its maximum burn-time.
♡ Place your candle within sight on a flat surface away from children, pets and flammable materials.
♡ Trim your wick to ¼” before every burn using a wick trimmer, a nail clipper or your fingertips.
♡ Give the wax enough time to fully melt to the edges before blowing out to avoid tunneling.
♡ Avoid power burning - burning a candle for more than 4 hours at a time. It can cause the container to overheat and potentially break, and it can also cause the fragrance to burn off faster than it's intended to.
My candle tunneled...
Why did this happen? What should I do?? ( ꩜ ᯅ ꩜;)
Candle tunneling occurs when the wax is not given enough time to fully melt to the edges on the first and all consecutive burns. Here are necessary steps to fix this issue:
Step 1 Light your candle.
Step 2 Wrap your candle with aluminum foil, allowing a minor opening (a hole) at the top-center. This allows the heat to stay in and melt the rim of hard wax on the sides.
Step 3 After 2 hours, check your candle. If you have an even wax pool, remove the aluminum foil.
